It’s an idea that took flight over 12 years ago in the city of Hudson, Wisconsin. Todd Bol built a miniature model of a one-room schoolhouse in honour of his teacher mother and filled it with books that people could take home with them to read at no cost. Little Free Libraries have since become a global phenomenon, with an estimated 100,000 registered home-based little libraries in 100 countries.
