Mary Elizabeth âBettyâ Hamilton, age 86, passed away peacefully on Dec. 13, 2020, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Jones âHamâ Hamilton; and son, Stephen Allison âSteveâ Ensley.
Betty is survived by two daughters and their spouses, Dinah and Marcus Collins, Shelly and Stewart Terry; daughter-in-law, Ellen Ensley; four grandchildren, Jason, Abhram, Camden and Peyton; and three great-grandchildren, Sayla, C.J. and Graham.
Betty was born in Odum, Ga., on Jan. 11, 1934, and is of the Christian faith. She lived in several places throughout her life including Jesup, Ga., Fernandina Beach, Fla., Sylva, N.C., Tavares, Fla., and Knoxville, Tenn. Above all, she was a loving and devoted mother who worked hard to provide a great home for her family.
