“Queen of Brooklin” June Eaton dies at 93 BROOKLIN — The town of Brooklin is mourning its beloved former town clerk, librarian, historian and all-around do-gooder, June Eaton, who died on Dec. 24. Eaton was 93. “When I moved here in 1997, there were people who referred to June as the queen of Brooklin or the mayor of Brooklin,” said Nancy Randall. “She was the embodiment of everything good here. She knew everyone. She remembered everything.” Eaton was one of the founding members of the keeping society. She was also town clerk for 36 years. She retired from the town office in 1993. She was an assistant librarian at Friend Memorial Library. And she stayed home to raise five children.

The public water system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by this public water system used for drinking water or human consumption purposes and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use as of Dec. 22.
