The proposal passed by a vote of 69-54 and guarantees employees one hour of earned sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked. Workers can earn up to 48 hours per year and have 80 hours of unused time be carried over into the following year.
Legislators in the Minnesota House of Representatives are expected to vote Thursday on a measure that would expand earned sick and safe time for all Minnesota workers.
