Community leader Ben Colonero retires from Salmon Health and Retirement Community Content Colonero’s career with Salmon started with Danny Salmon.  “I knew Danny because we both grew up in the Blackstone Valley; we would run into each other playing tennis and at other events,” Colonero said. At a baseball tournament for both Colonero and Salmon’s sons, “We started talking, and Danny mentioned that if I was ever looking for a job, that I should reach out to him.” From there, Colonero’s expansive career with Salmon began. “My first position at Salmon was as a controller, more commonly known as a financial officer, in 1992,” Colonero said. “My office was in Beaumont at Westborough, and at that time, we only had two campuses Westborough and Northbridge.”
