Community leader Ben Colonero retires from Salmon Health and Retirement

Colonero’s career with Salmon started with Danny Salmon.
“I knew Danny because we both grew up in the Blackstone Valley; we would run into each other playing tennis and at other events,” Colonero said. At a baseball tournament for both Colonero and Salmon’s sons, “We started talking, and Danny mentioned that if I was ever looking for a job, that I should reach out to him.”
From there, Colonero’s expansive career with Salmon began.
“My first position at Salmon was as a controller, more commonly known as a financial officer, in 1992,” Colonero said. “My office was in Beaumont at Westborough, and at that time, we only had two campuses Westborough and Northbridge.”
