El meteoro ya ha complicado la búsqueda de sobrevivientes entre los escombros de una torre de condominios que se derrumbó en la zona de Miami hace 12 días. Además de vientos fuertes y lluvias intensas, el Centro Nacional de Huracanes, o NHC por sus siglas en inglés, advirtió que hay peligro de marejadas ciclónicas, inundaciones y tornados aislados. Se emitió una alerta de huracán para un largo trecho de la costa de Florida, desde cayo Egmont, en la bahía de Tampa, hasta el río Steinhatchee, en la zona Big Bend de Florida.

The National Weather Service said Tuesday that Hurricane Elsa was packing winds as high as 75 mph (121 kph) as it hurtled toward Florida’s northern Gulf Coast. The Category 1 storm is expected to make landfall between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. Wednesday, somewhere between the Tampa Bay area and the Big Bend region.
