Mumbai’s municipal commissioner has stopped vaccination of healthcare staff in these hospitals and has asked the hospitals not to add any new staff names until further notice.
Large private hospitals of Mumbai such as Hinduja, Nanavati, Hiranandani, Breach Candy, Lilavati, as well as others in Maharashtra, have requested the state government to add them as vaccination sites in the second phase of the vaccination drive. Currently, only those hospitals empanelled under the Ayushman Bharat scheme are allowed to become vaccination sites.
