CPP Sympathizes; Donates To Bereaved Families At Apam

  The Convention People s Party led by Nana Frimpomaa, the Chair and Leader, has paid an official visit to Apam to sympathize with bereaved families. It will be recalled that over 20 children between the ages of 12 and 17 were swept away by the sea at Apam last Monday. Latest reports has it that 13 bodies of the deceased have been retrieved and will be buried tomorrow 15th March 2021. The visiting team from the party included the National, Regional, Constituency and Local Executives who offered their condolences to the bereaved families. Nana Frimpomaa donated a sum of 5,000 cedis to the bereaved families and 1,000 to the fishermen Council to support funeral arrangements.

COVID-19: Save Commercial Transport Users Now - CPP

  The Convention Peoples Party (CPP) has called on the government of Ghana, the utmost bearer of COVID-19 management, to save all commercial transport users across the country from contracting coronavirus. This was well echoed in a press briefing organized by the party at its headquarters at Asylum down, Accra Monday afternoon. Addressing the media, the Chairperson and leader of CPP, Nana Akosua Frimpomaa Sarpong Kumakuma called on President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo to reintroduce the commercial vehicle loading capacity restrictions as soon as practicable to reduce the high rate of COVID infections in the cars.   She said data available show that our daily average infection recorded as put out by the Ghana Medical and Dental Council is 625 with 1, 132 cases recorded on the 28th of January, 2021. The CPP leader said our efforts to stem the spread is practically far from the common people hence the surge in COVID cases across the country.
