With a desire to up its Swachh Survekshan rank, the
Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (
PCMC) will emulate the country’s cleanest city, Indore, and ward 15 has been selected to go dustbin-free on an experimental basis.
Civic health officials and public representatives including PCMC standing committee chairman
Nitin Landge, ruling party leader Namdev Dhake and additional commissioner
Vikas Dhakne recently visited Indore to examine their solid-waste management system. As per the study, PCMC health commissioner Dr Anil Roy has submitted a report.

PCMC) corporator Archana Barne due to dengue a few days back seems to have awakened civic officials they are now on a mission to get rid of mosquito breeding grounds in the twin towns.
Bharatiya Janata Party (
BJP) corporator Archana Barne was undergoing treatment for dengue at a private hospital in Baner and passed away on Tuesday evening.
