COIMBATORE: Following a clash between the AIADMK and DMK cadre in Pollachi assembly constituency on March 28, the rural police on Saturday formed a special team to arrest the son of deputy speaker and the assembly constituency AIADMK candidate Pollachi V Jayaraman and a few others. A police source said that two AIADMK men were picked up by the Vadakkipalayam police and the party had pressurised police officers to release the duo. However, senior police officials clearly instructed to arrest the accused if the case was genuine. N Parthasarathy, 28, from Okkilipalayam near Pollachi lodged a complaint with Vadakkipalayam police on March 29.
