Đặng Phúc Nguyên, General Secretary of Việt Nam Vegetable and Fruit Association, forecast that the export revenue would surpass US$6 billion and even reach $7 billion in 2024, providing a significant momentum for Việt Nam to become a global food powerhouse.
After a period of stagnation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, many farm produce of Vietnam have recorded speedy growth in export to China so far this year and the shipments are predicted to keep increasing in the time ahead.
The Việt Nam Vegetable and Fruit Association (VINAFRUIT) estimated that Việt Nam’s fruit and vegetable exports will top US$5.5 - 5.6 billion, which is a new record, in 2023.
