Affidavit: Woman hired to smuggle child for $800

A woman said she expected an $800 payment for smuggling a child through the Gateway to the Americas International Bridge, states an arrest affidavit.
Nallely Elizabeth Rios was arrested and charged with transport, attempt to transport and conspire to transport an immigrant without legal documentation for private financial gain.
Rios and a female minor arrived at about 2:30 p.m. Dec. 7 at the international bridge via the pedestrian lane. Rios stated she was a U.S. citizen and claimed that the child was her U.S. citizen daughter.
