上映映画は未定だが、小津監督の作品や諏訪地域がロケ地になった作品などを予定している。ゲストとして招く女優の中井貴惠さんが小津監督作品の脚本を読む「音語り」がある。活動弁士の澤登翠さんも登場する。
８月にはプレイベントとして蓼科で野外上映かドライブインシアターを予定している。短編映画コンクールは１２７作品がエントリーし、現在一次審査をしている。
上映作品は８月上旬に映画祭ホームページで公表し、同中旬ごろからチケットを販売する予定。実行委事務局の市観光課は「良質な作品の鑑賞を楽しむ映画祭にしたい」と話している。
