The Indian government is set to deliver over 15,000 affordable homes in Maharashtra s Solapur district as part of a larger housing project supported by the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) Urban program. The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) is constructing over 30,000 residential units with the assistance of the central government. The homes, which will be spread over 300 sq ft, are aimed at beneficiaries from economically weaker sections. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to inaugurate the project next month.

During the webinar including a panel discussion, major points were highlighted such as measures for sustainable tourism, dire need to boost the travel and tourism industry which has been severely hit by the pandemic, ensuring safe tourism post Covid-19, encouraging domestic travel and incorporating technological transformation such as virtual tours, travel-friendly apps and digital arenas in the future.
