A $160,000 CARES Act grant is helping launch a non-profit job training program to meet an increasing demand for workers needed to produce films in Oklahoma.
The training, which includes a full film production, started Tuesday and marked the first use of sound stages at Prairie Surf Studio (formerly the Cox Convention Center).
The film, “Running Behind,” is adapted from a script written by student Peyton Benge and the production itself was put on a fast track because of the requirement that the money be spent by Friday.
