Bandai Visual Reveals 6th Idolish7: Second Beat Anime DVD/BD Release Packaging

Bandai Visual is again handling the home video releases and it’s getting a seven-volume run where the DVDs are priced at 7,000 yen while the Blu-rays are priced at 7,777 yen. They were originally set to begin on June 24th, 2020 but were delayed with no new dates due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Back in June, they updated on the first volume only by giving it an August 27th, 2020 release date as well as revealing the artwork. Now, with the sixth volume set for an April 27th, 2021 debut, the packaging and cover artwork for that release has now arrived.

Third Idolish7 Anime Series Sets Schedule

The series, named IDOLiSH7: Second BEAT!, took awhile to get done in full because of pandemic delays. We learned at the end of December 2020 that a third series is coming but it looks like this could be a much bigger season. The event this weekend revealed that it’s getting a two-cour run with the first half set to debut sometime in 2021, but without a season given. That sets for the second cour to arrive in 2022, giving fans a lot to look forward to.

But with it wrapping up this weekend, it ended with a notice that a third season has been given the green light and that details will be coming later for it. In the meantime, plenty more music and related things are coming for it with performances and merchandise as part of its multimedia approach.
