All 11 union leaders at the NagaWorld Casino hotel have been released from jail on bail, as international pressure continues to mount on the government of Cambodia to respect workers’ right to organize and collectively bargain. With the charges still hanging over the 11 union leaders, with no progress on the reinstatement of the 365 terminated workers and with a fight over the collective bargaining agreement still ongoing, the IUF has filed a complaint against the government of Cambodia with the International Labour Organisation’s Committee on the Freedom of Association (CFA) detailing numerous violations of international standards around workers’ rights.
