One property I enjoyed a lot this past decade was the
Knights of Sidonia anime as well as the original manga. It’s been pretty idle for awhile as original creator Tsutomu Nihei went on to new projects but we learned last summer that it’s getting a bit of a resurrection. A feature film is coming produced by Polygon Pictures called
Knights of Sidonia: The Star Where Love is Spun. It looks like this is an original story with Nihei supervising that will go in a different direction than the manga.
With a May 14th, 2021 release date ahead of it, the official site has now revealed that the film is being pushed back to a June 4th, 2021 release because of the State of Emergency that’s been introduced due to the pandemic. With theaters being closed, it’s the only real option they had.
