PORTSMOUTH - Six Portsmouth High School students have been named recipients of the annual Scholastic Art Awards of New Hampshire (SAANH), the state chapter of the national awards, the school announced on Friday, Jan. 15.
Across categories dedicated to drawing, painting and ceramics submissions, Portsmouth students were honored with the three levels of recognition available to those who submit work - the gold key, the silver key and honorable mention. In all, with some students winning entries on multiple submissions, Portsmouth racked up nine awards from the SAANH.
The Portsmouth students receiving awards are: sophomore Nadja Hoschek-Court; senior Sophia Barlock; sophomore Grace Guzikowski; sophomore Emeline Keturakis; junior Caitlin McDonough and senior Kieryn Emilee-Hewitt.
