Our Lady of Lourdes French Immersion Catholic School is offering an Indigenous story-time and activity series to all preschool and kindergarten students in the Elliot Lake and Serpent River area. “We are trying to reach our families to provide unique learning opportunities,” said vice-principal Nadia Zanatta about the virtual program that will take place in the evening of May 5, 12, 19 and 26 for 30 to 45 minutes a session. “By providing these sessions online, we hope to narrow the gap for our beginners and let families know that our doors are open for them to join in virtually,” said principal Stephane Prevost. “For preschool families, this gives the child and family a head start to their new journey in the fall.”
