Stating that the prosecution has failed to prove the case beyond reasonable doubt, a magistrate court has acquitted prominent political leaders for participating in a Maratha reservation bike rally which was denied police permission.
The court noted that the investigating officer in her testimony had said that the probe revealed that the tyre of the Maruti Swift car had burst and the accused Indu Kapahi had not noticed this fact.

The incident had taken place on 23 Nov 2017 when Rohinton Umarigar, who was at the Parsi General Hospital for his mother’s treatment used abusive language with the woman doctor who was in charge of the ICU.
