Tirumala: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has made an official announcement stating that Anjanadri Hillock is the birthplace of Lord Hanumanji with concrete evidence.
The announcement was made by the TTD on the auspicious day of Sri Rama Navami at Tirumala on Wednesday.
Bhanwarilal Purohit, the Governor of Tamilnadu, also graced the event which was held at Nada Neerajana Mandapam. He said, he is a great devotee of Lord Hanuman and he is very happy to know that TTD has made elaborate research with the expert committee before declaring Anjanadri as Lord Hanuman s birthplace.

In a historic proclamation, the TTD has claimed that ‘Jabali’ nestled on the Anjanadri Hills that form a part of the sacred abode of Lord Venkateswara as the original birthplace of Lord Hanuman.
In a formal declaration on Wednesday, Vice-Chancellor of National Sanskrit University Muralidhar Sharma said that the TTD had arrived at the conclusion “after taking all the historical, geographical and epigraphical evidences into consideration.”

Panel hands over ‘lagna patrika’ to Executive Officer
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has finally approved the dates for the relaunch of ‘Kalyanamastu’ – a mass wedding programme aimed at benefiting the poor.
The four-member committee of pundits constituted for the purpose handed over the ‘lagna patrika’ on Wednesday to TTD Executive Officer K.S. Jawahar Reddy at the Nada Neerajana Mandapam, suggesting three auspicious dates during the year.
Mr. Reddy later told the media that the programme would be conducted on May 28 between 12.34 p.m. and 12.40 p.m., October 30 (11.04 a.m. - 11.08 a.m.), November 7 (9.56 a.m. - 10.02 a.m.).
