Local clothing brands in Dhaka are offering discounts from 5 per cent to 40 per cent to boost sales just a couple of days ahead of the Eid ul-Fitr which the businessmen consider as the biggest shopping season.
Dhaka residents are now on a shopping spree for the Eid, the biggest festival of Muslims, and the markets and malls in the city are overcrowded with shoppers amid the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to fashion market players, the ongoing lockdown caused a negative impact over their businesses, so they want to recover the loss ahead of Eid.
