The Na Phra Lan tunnel near the Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew) is becoming a tourist attraction on Rattanakosin Island, also known as the old town in Bangkok, with up to 40,000 tourists expected to visit the tunnel each day.

During the past two decades of the Unesco Heritage Awards for Cultural Heritage Conservation, 14 places in Thailand have received recognition.
They can be categorised into groups of old palaces, temples, houses/commercial buildings and communities. (See sidebar).
At present, the award programme is open for submission. Categories include awards for Excellence, Distinction, Merit, New Design in Heritage Contexts, and the new Special Recognition for Sustainable Development.

Abstract: Incremental pluton growth can produce sheeted complexes with no magma-magma interaction or large, dynamic magma bodies communicating via crystal and melt exchanges, depending on pulse size and frequency of intrusions. Determining the degree and spatial extent of crystal-melt exchange along and away from plutonic contacts at or near the empla
