the popular shisanyama closed its doors, residents said their kasi will never
be the same again.
Resident,
Khuthala Ngcebetsha said they will miss it.
“That place
had a different vibe from other places. We would meet new people from all over
South Africa,” she said.
Linda Alvin
said they always felt safe when they are grooving at the popular shisanyama.
“They had
security and a lot of space to move inside and outside,” said Linda.

Iconic eatery Mzoli’s Place has shut down indefinitely because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The closure of the popular spot that used to unite people from all walks of life through local braai’d meat while being entertained by local stars such as Pastor the DJ.
The was announcement was made by Sisanda Mangele, the daughter of businessman and philanthropist Mzoli Ngcawuzele who said they are not sure if they will ever open again.
But they are waiting for the tourism industry to get back on its feet before they completely decide if they want to close forever.

Cape Town s iconic township eatery where people from different walks of life used to mingle over braai’d meat and pap, Mzoli’s Place in Gugulethu, has shut down indefinitely, in part because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
This Cape Town shisanyama was the heart of the township and an incredible attraction for international visitors and locals alike.
