The short film
Sol, tells the story of a young boy (played by 12-year-old Zana Akkoc) who is devastated by the death of his grandmother and is sent on an urgent quest to find the light which has gone out in the world.
Created and produced by Belfast-based children’s TV production company Paper Owl Films, the timely tale sees the youngster experiencing the different stages of grief which enables him to realise that his love for his grandmother is greater than the pain of his loss.
Originally commissioned by regional broadcasters as a Celtic-language film in Welsh, Irish and Scottish Gaelic,
