The announcement by David Lansdowne was made at a meeting of the NDP steering group on Monday. Following his resignation, steering group member Jonathan Griffin thanked him for his time on the group saying he had been an excellent leader. “David has endured an unpleasant six months with a concerted campaign of harassment and exclusion by a small group of fellow councillors, he said. He has had to undergo a series of procedural complaints which would not stand up to any serious scrutiny. It is therefore not surprising that he has decided to resign. He has been an excellent leader, shaping and guiding the team, and has worked tirelessly.”
