I tried Iceland, Tesco, Sainsbury s and Lidl fish fingers and there was a clear winner - Reemul Balla

The fish fingers in the taste test were: Sainsbury s Stamford Street Food Company (minced cod 58 per cent) - 10 breaded cod fish fingers - 69p Sainsbury s Omega 3 breaded pollock (64 per cent fish - pack of 10) - £1.20 Lidl Ocean Sea 15 white fillet fish fingers (65 per cent pollock) - £1.49 Iceland Cod Fillet fish fingers (64 per cent fish - pack of 10) - £1.75 Birds Eye cod fish fingers (58 per cent fish - pack of 10) - £2.50 Tesco Finest (6 chunky breaded cod fish fingers - 60 per cent fish) - £3.00. They inevitably varied in price, fish content, and I had no bias beforehand since I usually eat a different brand to the ones tested.
