Richard Curtis will attend Southwold s outdoor cinema for a screening of Yesterday

Writer Richard Curtis is to attend Southwold s outdoor cinema this Saturday for a screening of his 2019 hit film featuring Ed Sheeran - Yesterday.
Curtis, who lives on the Suffolk coast, will host a question and answer session with film-goers at 7pm before the screening starts.
The 64-year-old and his wife Emma Freud have been supporting the cinema, on Southwold Common, by donating many of Curtis films to be shown.

Bridget Jones s Diary and Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again are among the films set to feature in the open-air cinema this summer.

Southwold s Outdoor Cinema is returning this summer with an exciting film line up celebrating some Hollywood classics along with the Best of British.
The socially distanced event is taking place on Southwold Common from May to September offering visitors and residents a range of feel-good movies for everyone to enjoy.
Southwold s Outdoor Cinema will be positioned by the town’s water tower and will offer easy access.
The season starts with two contemporary classics: Bridget Jones s Diary, on Saturday May 22 and the Suffolk-based Beatles film Yesterday on May 29.

Outdoor cinema is set to make a welcome return to the seaside next month.
Southwold s Outdoor Cinema is back by popular demand for 2021 with an exciting film line up, according to organisers.
A series of highly acclaimed films will be screened to a socially distanced audience on Southwold Common this summer.
Organised by My Southwold Business Partnership - a newly created business association made up of, and run by, local business owners who are working together for the benefit of the town - the initiative is supported by Southwold Town Council and promoted by My Southwold.
