coming out is a very personal decision, and while it was my personal choice to come out to family members co-workers and friends in my 20s, i didn t come out publicly to the world until just a few years ago, in my 40s. so i can t speak to robin roberts, i didn t do it sooner because i was afraid of losing my livelihood, i was afraid people like you would no longer watch me. i was afraid that people like phil robertson, would judge me, hopefully, like robin, quickly fear was replaced. and if people like robertson are worthy of keeping their platforms and even being celebrated, then people like
i don t feel technology and equipment that s allowing us to elongate our careers. when tiger woods came on the scene he stressed physical fitness. it s increased our performance but elongated our careers. vijay singh is playing his best golf ever. by starting a physical fitness program earlier in your career which i did 10, 12, 15 years ago and hopefully that will help me play at a high level well into my 40s. thank you for the work do you. john, this sounds like an absolutely great idea. those are really, really

20s i came in in my very early 20s. i m pushing my 40s now. my sentence was life. kristi was convicted of second-degree murder. she works in the print shop. she dropped out of school in the second grade but earned her high school diploma here at valley state before working on a vocation. any type of learning a trade is going to give you a sense of accomplishment. boost your self-esteem. give you job skills that you can incorporate when you leave. kristi has been denied parole multiple times but hopes her new skill will make a difference if she leaves valley state. when i think about paroling, it s going to be a whole new world, you know. i ve been in almost 20 years i m looking ford resigning the community and being a community-oriented citizen. a homeowner. living the american dream just like everybody else. so that s what i plan on doing. because a large part of the population at valley state is here for drug-related offenses the substance abuse program
dividing america. we are nowhere we ve not realized the dream that my dad envisioned. he talked about a dream of freedom, justice, and equality for all human kind. i think these activities show us we have more work to do. what do you believe is the first step in this work? i m in my 40s. i ve heard people say this over and over. we ve not realized the dream. i remember having these conversations in college and early on in my career. why haven t we? or is that too simplistic of a question to sask? i think there are a number of factors, but we start with an education system that has serious challenges. when we allow so many young people to just leave the school system. at fifth grade, kids are dropping out of school, and we re not doing anything about it. we re trying, but we really aren t focused on it. we used to have one of the greatest systems of public education in the world. now we certainly have a great college and university system, but our primary and secondary
