As part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations leading up to Independence Day, a tiranga shikara rally was organized at the Dal Lake in Srinagar. Around 150 people participated in the rally, which was organized by NGO Salute Tiranga. The rally began at Nehru Park and ended at SKICC after passing through Char Chinari. The president of J-K Salute Tiranga, Muzaffar Hussain Kalal, expressed gratitude to the youth of Jammu and Kashmir for participating and stated that this was the first time such a rally had been conducted in the region.
