There is a lack of trust in the financial sector of Bangladesh, which is adversely impacting the country’s overall economy, according to economists at discussion.
Describing Abul Mansur Ahmad as a multi-faceted personality, the speakers said that from a sense of responsibility to the society, he has constantly fought for the rights of citizens, freedom of speech and change in the society.
The increasing foreign debt will create problems for Bangladesh unless structural problems in the country’s financial sector are addressed, said economists at an inter-department dialogue at the University of Dhaka yesterday.
