The Ekiti State Government has entered into a partnership with the Nigeria Atomic Energy Commission (NAEC) on the peaceful application of nuclear science and technology in the development of medicine, agriculture and other social-economic activities within the knowledge zone.
A memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed to this effect by representatives of the State government and key principal officers of NAEC including its acting Chairman, Professor Yusuf Ahmed on Tuesday in Ado -Ekiti.
On the side of the government were, the Secretary to the State Government, Hon Biodun Oyebanji; Commissioner for Investment, Trade and Industries, Hon Muyiwa Olumilua; Director-General, Office of Transformation and Service Delivery, Prof Bolaji Aluko; Special Adviser, Knowledge Zone, Hon Femi Ajope, Special Adviser Governor’s Office, Hon Folusho Daramola; among others.

Ekiti State Government has expressed its determination to enhance the growth of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to boost economic prosperity of the state.
The government had before now reconstituted a 22-member Council to address the myriad of challenges confronting MSMEs in Ekiti , with intention to upscale industrial growth and development .
The Commissioner for Investment, Trade and Industry, Mr Muyiwa Olumilua, stated this during a one-day sensitisation workshop with the theme: “Making Economy A Private Driven Economy” held in Ado Ekiti.
He said the state government will partner federal government and corporate agencies to facilitate opportunities for business owners in the state.

Ado Ekiti, Jan 08, 2021, (NAN) Ekiti state government says its investment policy was gradually yielding positive results as a privately-owned snail project, with a capacity to produce 2.6 million kg of snail meat per annum, is set to be commissioned later this month.
Commissioner for Trade, Investment and Industry, Muyiwa Olumilua said the snail farm, Egbeja Snail Village, was located in Okemesi Ekiti, Ekiti West Local Government area.
Speaking on Friday, in Ado Ekiti, while receiving the management of FarmKonnect, owner of the project, Olumilua said the state administration was working to improve the Ease of Doing Business (EoDB), by providing an environment that could enable investments to thrive.
