What we are referring to is the portland attack, and attack just over one week ago on a commuter train in portland where Jeremy Joseph christian threatened a young muslim girl and her friend , using racist epithets. Three brave men stepped forward to protect those two young girls. In the process, two of them lost their lives. The third was severely injured. By the attack, by the perpetrator. That attack on the portland train is actually a one of many attacks that we are concerned about at Muslim Advocates. When republicans duke control, we know when republicans took control, we knew that getting things working again had to be our first priority. We opened up debate so senators from both parties could make their voices heard. We started drafting legislation in committee again so that bills were the result of discussion and compromise instead of being dictated by Democrat Party leaders. And we got the Senate Passing real substantial legislation again a bawrkts appropriations a balanced budget, Appropriations Bills, the first major energy bill since the bush administration, the first Significant Education reform since 2002.
