BLAIR, Neb. An Oklahoma police chief who spoke at the funeral of a 17-year-old Nebraska girl who died in a shootout with four of his officers says he was honored when the girl s father invited him to the service.
Chief Johnny Teehee, of Muskogee, Oklahoma, spoke Wednesday in Blair, Nebraska, at the funeral of 17-year-old Farrah Rauch.
Police say she was killed on Feb. 28 after she fired at officers while fleeing from an attempted carjacking.
Her 17-year-old boyfriend shot himself at the scene.

One adult and five small children were shot and killed by a relative in Muskogee, Oklahoma, early Tuesday (February 2) morning. Police responded to a call that multiple people were shot and encountered the suspected shooter when they arrived.
The shooter brandished a firearm, and one of the officers fired a single shot from his service rifle but missed. The suspect fled from the scene but was apprehended following a short foot chase.
Inside the house, officers found six people had been shot. Four children and an adult male were dead at the scene. One of the children was still alive and airlifted to the hospital, where they were pronounced dead. A female victim also survived and is being treated for life-threatening injuries.
