Grammy nominee BTS to perform at Recording Academy foundation s virtual concert, fundraiser – Manila Bulletin

Published March 2, 2021, 7:36 AM BTS (Twitter)  K-pop boy band and Grammy nominee BTS will be performing at the Recording Academy foundation’s virtual concert and fundraiser.  “We’re excited to announce that the GRAMMY-Nominated #BTS (@bts bighit) are joining our incredible lineup of #MusicOnAMission performers!” announced MusiCares Foundation.  The “Music on a Mission” virtual concert, an official Grammy Week event, will be held on March 12 or two days before the Grammy Awards ceremony on March 14.  According to the MusiCares, “the virtual event will honor the resilience of the music community, which has been deeply impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.” The concert “will feature new performances by HAIM, H.E.R., Jhené Aiko, and John Legend as well as legendary performances from the MusiCares’ vaults featuring Bruce Springsteen, Stevie Nicks and Tom Petty, and Usher.”

The ensemble, featured in BTS’ music video for “Dynamite,” was sold as part of the MusiCares Charity Relief Auction, hosted by Julien’s Auctions in Beverly Hills in support of musicians, artists, and road crews affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. The outfits were sold to two buyers, Japanese art collector Yusaku Maezawa and HIKAKIN, “Japan’s most famous YouTuber.”
