Dimapur, Oct. 22 (EMN): Melomania, an annual event organised by Hope Academy, was held on Oct. 22, with Trance Effect as the judge and Khyochano TCK Ngullie, Director of Music Academy Kohima (MAK) as the special guest. An update issued on Oct. 22 informed that Melomania aims to promote excellence in music where schools can come together under a common platform for a healthy competition. Students from seven schools — Little Star Hr. Sec School, Hollotoli School, Govt. Hr. Sec School (Nagarjan), Livingstone Foundation International, Maple Tree School, Hope Academy and Delhi Public School — thronged the campus to support their contesting bands. The beat contest kicked off with an enthralling performance by the Hope Choir, after which the bands battled. The bands were given the autonomy to perform on any two songs of their choice.
