Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) inaugurated its One Stop Service today to attract domestic and foreign investment. The service would help businesses get trade licences, land registration, naming, environmental clearance and many other certificates from BSCIC. Businesses can now apply online and get these services from a single platform.

DHAKA, Jan 18, 2021 (BSS) – Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun today said there is no alternative to industrialization from the grassroots to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030.
“Sustainable industrialization is possible only by conducting development activities of small and cottage industries. To this end, the activities of Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) need to be made more dynamic,” he said.
The minister said this while speaking as the chief guest at the concluding virtual function of the Small and Cottage Industries Training Institute (SCITI) Foundation Course in the city, said a press release.
Five-day long honey fair kicks off in city tomorrow

DHAKA, Jan 2, 2021 (BSS) – A five-day long honey, handicrafts, small and cottage industries fair will kick off in the city from tomorrow
On the occasion of ‘Mujib Year’, Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) will organise the fair at its premises following the health guidelines.
Due to the coronavirus outbreak, all fairs were closed for about 7-8 months and the small and cottage industrialists have been severely affected for this, said a press release.
The fair will continue till January 7.
A total of 61 honey, small and cottage industry entrepreneurs will participate in the fair. Besides, people who received training from the BSCIC will get the chance to showcase their products at the fair.
