Andfather was an academic president of a college in pennsylvania. School up at a quaker which was obviously an integrated quaker school. Graduated, the family moved to atlanta which he tells me was for him a terrifying experience because of all that he had heard that happens to africanamericans. He started at Morehouse College and in 1960 was a cofounder of the student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee, which is one of the majors for those of you are not old enough to older history, one of the major activist organizations of to know your history, one of the major activist organizations of the day.
