I was going to share all those with these gals when we met that morning. So, we didnt get started on this meeting until about 8 20 that morning. And i would turn around and look at my computer screen at the next item that we were to discu discuss, and i went back in my chair and let them chat about who is going to copy this, do this, get this ready for the Banking Department so they could hurry with their audit. I just turned around in my chair and kind of reared back and was getting ready to discuss the next item that i had mentioned when the bomb went off. And i have determined to take the following steps to assure the strongest response to this situation. First, i had deployed a Crisis Management team under the leadership of the fbi working with the department of justice, the bureau of alcohol, tobacco and firearms, military and local authorities. We are sending the worlds finalest vefinal e finest investigators to solve the murders. I have declared an emergency in Oklahoma City. One of the individuals responsible for wednesdays terrible attack on the murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City has been arrested. Timothy mcveigh, age 27 who we previously called john doe number one was arrested by local authorities on a Traffic Violation about 60 miles from Oklahoma City on wednesday morning. About an hour and a half after the explosion occurred. At the time of his arrest he was in the possession of a firearm. He has been in the local jail since the arrest. He will be taken into custody by the fbi. Searches are being planned and executed at several locations around the country this afternoon. I remind everyone that john doe number two remains at large.
