Some Chapter continued his impressive season by winning for the 10th time from just 14 starts in the Friday night feature at The Meadowlands, a high-end $20,000 conditioned trot.
But the road to the winner’s circle at the mile oval has been a circuitous one to say the least for the Anette Lorentzon trainee, who did not race last year as a two-year-old.
“We always liked him,” said Lorentzon. “But he had some soreness last year, so we turned him out in April. We gave him some time, brought him back at the end of last year and things started out well, but he ended up locking on a line, so we gave him some time off again. He could get lame on us, but we could not find out what was wrong with him.”
