An innovative wireless sensor method of mapping the subsurface of the earth could make exploration cheaper and mining safer, says Professor Musa Manzi, the award-winning director of the Seismic Research Centre of the School of Geosciences at the University of the Witwatersrand. The method, which received acknowledgement in the latest series of NSTF-South32 accolades, has been under test since December.
