The court will hear closing arguments in the bail application of eight men accused of murder and attempted murder on Pampoenkraal Farm.
The defence believes there are material differences in the versions given by the State s witness.
The defence used a transcript from an SABC Special Assignment interview to question the investigating officer.
Two different accounts by the State s core witness, to some extent, exonerates some of the eight men accused of murder and attempted murder on Pampoenkraal Farm, defence lawyers told the Piet Retief Magistrate s Court in eMkhondo, Mpumalanga, on Thursday.
Eight people have appeared in the Piet Retief Magistrate's Court for the alleged kidnapping, murder and attempted murder of Sifiso Joseph Twala, his brother, Christopher Sthembiso Twala, and Musa France Nene on a farm in August 2020.

Eight men are appearing in court for the alleged murder of two people at Pampoenkraal farm in August 2020.
Three of them are also linked to the murder of the Coka brothers.
The men have denied being involved in the matter.
A farmworker accused of murder has told the Piet Retief Magistrate s Court in eMkhondo that police threatened them and tried to force them to implicate white farmers in a murder case.
Zenzele Yende applied for bail along with his seven co-accused on Thursday.
He testified that they were previously told by the investigating officers to stop protecting white farmers .
