Aaditya Thackeray, leader of the Uddhav Thackeray-led camp of the Shiv Sena, on Friday slammed the Eknath Shinde-helmed Maharashtra government, saying that there is anger among people the way his party candidate Rutuja Latke was troubled.
The by-election is taking place after the allotment of new names and symbols to Thackeray-led Shiv Sena and Shinde-led Shiv Sena especially after the collapse of the Maha Vikas Aghadi government following the Shinde led a rebellion and the formation of the government by Shinde camp along with BJP in the state.
Thackeray-led party officer bearer Sandeep Naik also filed his nominations. He will withdraw his nomination papers after Latke’s nomination is declared valid.
Maharashtra Politics: The Bombay High Court, while giving a hearing on this matter, gave a clear direction to the Mumbai Municipal Administration that they should accept the resignation of Rituja Latke by 11 o clock tomorrow morning. Also, the court has ordered that the municipal commissioner should give a clear reply to Rituja Latke regarding the approval of her resignation and inform the court.
The Bombay High Court on Thursday directed the Mumbai civic body to accept the resignation of Rutuja Latke, paving the way for her to file nomination for the Andheri (East) byelection as the candidate of the Shiv Sena faction led by Uddhav Thackeray.
