Rutherford County, Tenn. - Skills School Resource Officer Mike Farmer of Whitworth-Buchanan Middle School cheered on the school’s athletes competing in the Special Olympics Tuesday at MTSU.The competition focused on middle and elementary school children in Rutherford County and Murfreesboro City schools.Athletes from each school walked around the track before the spectators to start the games.Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation coordinated the track and field games with every competitor .
