(MURFREESBORO)  With sunny skies and temperatures around 50-degrees, the Murfreesboro Christmas Parade was a huge success. (MURFREESBORO) Rutherford County Sheriffs deputies brought big smiles to the faces of 35 county school students Saturday. They joined Sheriff Mike Fitzhugh, the sheriff’s School Resource Officers, VA Police officers and Sheriff’s Citizens Academy alumni to go Christmas shopping. Exchange Club's "Flags of Remembrace Healing Field" Through 5PM Monday

(MURFREESBORO)  The Murfreesboro Exchange Club's Flags of Remembrance Healing Field has become a Memorial Day weekend tradition. It is open now until 5:00 o'clock Monday evening when the closing ceremony takes place. Healing Fields - Flags of Remembrance will be Next to First Methodist Church Memorial Day Weekend Mar 23, 2021 at 12:07 pm by WGNS REMINDER: Healing Fields Flags of Remembrance, which is presented by the Murfreesboro Exchange Club, was virtual last year due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. However, plans have changed for 2021 and this year the event will be “LIVE” and open to the public. Exchange Club member Gayle Passovoy has volunteered to be the co-chair of the 13th annual event… Again, the event will be in the grassy field next to First Methodist Church on Thompson Lane in Murfreesboro. The flags will be set-up on Memorial Day Weekend, May 29th thru the 31st. The event is free and open to the public.
