(MURFREESBORO) With sunny skies and temperatures around 50-degrees, the Murfreesboro Christmas Parade was a huge success. Emergency vehicles were the first to roll at 2:00 o'clock sharp on Sunday afternoon (12/12/2021).
The parade began at the intersection of Middle Tennessee Boulevard, went down East Main Street to the historic square, and onto West Main, ending on Walnut Street.

(MURFREESBORO) Rutherford County Sheriffs deputies brought big smiles to the faces of 35 county school students Saturday. They joined Sheriff Mike Fitzhugh, the sheriff’s School Resource Officers, VA Police officers and Sheriff’s Citizens Academy alumni to go Christmas shopping.
Sheriff Fitzhugh thanked Toot’s owner Wade Hays and his staff, who allowed the SROs and alumni to collect donations at the three Murfreesboro restaurants, the Toot’s diners, the Murfreesboro .

(MURFREESBORO) The Murfreesboro Exchange Club's Flags of Remembrance Healing Field has become a Memorial Day weekend tradition. It is open now until 5:00 o'clock Monday evening when the closing ceremony takes place. This moving, patriotic event is in the field next to First United Methodist Church at 265 West Thompson Lane.

REMINDER: Healing Fields Flags of Remembrance, which is presented by the Murfreesboro Exchange Club, was virtual last year due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. However, plans have changed for 2021 and this year the event will be “LIVE” and open to the public.
Exchange Club member Gayle Passovoy has volunteered to be the co-chair of the 13th annual event…
Again, the event will be in the grassy field next to First Methodist Church on Thompson Lane in Murfreesboro. The flags will be set-up on Memorial Day Weekend, May 29th thru the 31st. The event is free and open to the public.
