The parents of Zahir Jaffer, the suspect in the murder of former diplomat Shaukat Mukadam’s daughter, Noor Mukadam, have been arrested, police said, while the court has approved a two-day physical remand for both.
Meanwhile, orders have been issued to seal Therapy Works, the drug rehabilitation centre where Jaffer is believed to have sought treatment.
In a tweet, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Muhammed Hamza Shafqat confirmed the development and wrote: “Sealing orders of Therapy works issued. Parents of Murderer Zahir Jaffar also arrested.”

The Islamabad police have arrested the parents of Zahir Jaffer, who has been accused of murdering the 27-year-old daughter of a former Pakistani diplomat Noor Mukadam, on charges of hiding evidence.
Orders to seal Therapy Works, the organisation where Jaffer worked as a therapist, have been issued as well, according to Islamabad Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Hamza Shafqaat.

ISLAMABAD:
A local court in Islamabad remanded the parents of the suspect in Noor Muqaddam murder case, along with two of their employees, for two days, on Sunday .
The judgement came after Zahir Jaffer s father, Zakir Jaffer, and mother, Ismat Adamjee, were produced before the court of duty magistrate Shehzad Khan.
In addition, two of the accused s domestic aides, Iftikhar and Jamil, were also sent on the two-day physical remand.
