second day in a row. the man accused of murdering his wife and one of his sons took to the stand, saying it wasn t him, but people who hated his son, paul. disgraced attorney alex murdaugh spent six hours on the stand friday, admitting he lied, had a drug problem, but believes the deaths of his wife, maggie, and son, paul, stemmed from someone who had it out for paul. the person, or people, who did what i saw on june the 7th, they hated paul murdaugh and they had anger in their heart. paul is facing charges in the february 2019 boating wreck that killed 19-year-old malory beach. murdaugh clarifying he didn t think anyone on the boat that night was responsible, but someone who had heard about it. because i did not and would not hurt my wife and my child. but prosecutors pressed murdaugh about trying to manufacture an alibi, which he denies. they then reminded him there is evidence he lied to police about where he was on the night of the murders. other than lying to t
