‘Cases in the country likely to increase to 15.6 lakh by 2025’
Scores of people participated in the cancer awareness walkathon, organised by the Mahatma Gandhi Cancer Hospital and Research Institute (MGCHRI), in association with other hospitals and various organisations, on Beach Road here on Sunday.
A large number of morning walkers, nursing students, doctors, representatives of various hospitals and associations participated in the walk, carrying banners and placards on the importance of regular screening tests, avoiding tobacco and cigarettes. Representatives of MGCHRI, Lions Cancer Hospital, Seethammadhara, Indian Dental Association (IDA), Indian Medical Association (IMA), APNA, IDA, GITAM Dental College, Rotary Port City and Vanitha Walkers Club were among those who participated in the walkathon, organised ahead of the World Cancer Da
