Families who had been impacted by COVID-19 were being assisted through the COVID-19 CSO Humanitarian Response Centre in Navakai, Nadi. “We thank UN Women for providing the stationery for primary to secondary school needs,” said FRIEND director Sashi Kiran. “We are also very grateful to the team at Munro Leys for their cash donation, enabling us to purchase school bags for those entering the new school year. “We believe every child needs to be supported for education, any child that drops out of the education system now, due to economic constraints, may not have the opportunity to access education again.”
